    Purging tank after co2 change?

I got the standard door mount ball lock conversion one. When you keg do you remove the in out stems or just spray them down before kegging?

    Purging tank after co2 change?

It's a Kegco system, does anyone have experience with this? Also wanted to ask when you guys sanatize your legs do you take off the in and out valves to dip in sanitizer as well or just the lid?

    Purging tank after co2 change?

I'm kegging next week for the first time. I plan on getting brew cold, turn psi to 30 for 24 hours then down to 7-10 range for another 24 hours. My question is after I change from 30 to 7 psi do I purge the tank completely before adjusting to a new psi level?

    Fermentation question - weird one

Yeah I said screw it and took out the blow off and put on the airlock and it return to a bubble every 5 seconds or so, typical to this stage I'm just hoping nothing negative happened the last 2 days, assuming no oxygen was able to get it with an active fermentation

    Fermentation question - weird one

Holy smokes so I read on this forum that sometimes too much water in the blowoff can cause the gas to not properly escape so I took my pitch of water and dumped half of it out and now it's bubbling like crazy again!!! Could this of really been the issue?? And if so how is it going to affect my...

    Fermentation question - weird one

I just switched my blowoff hose and rammed it down into the airlock to see if maybe there was a weak seal there but when I pulled the tube out it seemed to be pretty darn secure

    Fermentation question - weird one

I wake up this morning (7 hours later) temp is showing 72 degrees still so hardly moved and not a single bubble again :(

    Fermentation question - weird one

Hey all! I have a weird question to ask you, I brewed up an Oberon clone (all grain) on Saturday. I pitched my yeast (my OG was a lot lower than expected and of course I didn't have DME on hand) anyways I waited 36 hours with no activity and my temp was sitting around 62-64 degrees with US-05...

    Test Corny Keg with water?

I'm just hesitant to do this because if for some god for saken reason the keg doesn't seal or some of the new keg equipment doesn't work I'll be sunk and the brew will go bad

    Test Corny Keg with water?

The lines are brand new but I will use my pbw to clean keg before anything goes into it

    Test Corny Keg with water?

I have star san which I believe you don't have to rinse....I'm curious why they don't have that on the directions...

    Test Corny Keg with water?

I plan on replacing all the o rings prior to tapping it. Just to clarify, fill the keg 3/4 with water, hook up gas line and liquid line, turn on co2 tank, adjust the pressure to 30psi (I know to set it to 30psi but how do I know when it's fully reached 30psi?), spray the lines with star San...

    Test Corny Keg with water?

I also read that water might absorb a lot of co2 and that I should just fill the empty keg with 30psi and dunk in a bathtub to check for leaks...I just want to make sure the tap/line is working as well

    Test Corny Keg with water?

I am finally getting myself into kegging and I purchased a mini fridge today! My local brew shop will sell me the used corny ball lock for $60 and I'm excited to get my system up and running but my beer won't be done for another 4-5 weeks. Is there a way I can make sure my regulator/co2 tank and...

Need help with 2 row vs non 2 row

Thank you!! Very helpful information, I'll let you guys know how my Oberon clone turns out! First all grain batch!! I lowered my efficiency to 70% (raised my grain bill) since this is my first go at it. Going to use the batch sparge method. Wish me luck!!

Need help with 2 row vs non 2 row

You're awesome; that really helped me out a lot. So basically if it doesn't say two row, we can just assume it is since there are usually only two variants (2 and 6 row)? Thanks everyone else too, love the great feedback on this site

Need help with 2 row vs non 2 row

I am building a Bell's Oberon clone this coming weekend and I visited bells general store to make sure they had my ingredient list so I could pre plan etc. I have ran into the issue of some discrepancies with 2 row vs non 2 row. Here is my ingredient list for grains that I noticed potential...

Cannot decide which Kegerator is best

So I finally bought a 4.4 cu ft magic chef mini fridge (no freezer) from Home Depot for $128. Dimensions (22.2x19.7x33.4) I hope this will fit one Corny keg. Then went on Amazon and got the Kegco homebrew conversion setup for $147! Out the door for about $280!! Not too bad!
