Good breweries or brew pubs in Scottsdale?

Been a while since I was down there, but the best one I remember was Four Peaks (get the kilt lifter if you go)

    Only One Albumn or CD

I'd have to put in another vote for Pearl Jam - Ten.

    Quick stirplate question

The only way that you can slow the fan down is to either reduce the input voltage or add some type of series resistance into the circuit. The easiest way to do it is to add a potentiometer - this will also give you some ability to adjust the speed on the fly. If you don't have an easy way to...

Congrats and good luck with your other two - sounds like another home brewing addiction story.

    Favorite Hops

Centennial is definitely my favorite, but just did an IPA with summit and I'm really liking it for late additions. Would also have to add Columbus for the great dank quality. Sent from my HTC One X using Home Brew mobile app

    HBT Fantasy Football League

What did you have in mind? I know that being favored by this much means I'm gonna lose, so why not go ahead and ensure it by making a side wager as well?

    Beginner Upgrades?

I can tell you the best investments I've made as far as improving the quality of my beer were a fermentation chamber (old ugly garage fridge with dual stage controller) and a stir plate for making yeast starters. I think both of these together ran me about $150 since I was able to put them...

    Drilling hole in brew kettle?

I would definitely recommend the trial run on something you don't care about first if you have it available. I put a couple of holes in an old aluminum pot first myself. Good luck!

    Drilling hole in brew kettle?

I've drilled out several holes in various kettles and it really is quite easy. Biggest thing is to make sure you have some good sharp standard drill bits for making a pilot hole and then a good sharp step bit for enlarging the hole to the desired size. I start by using the smallest bit I have...

    Waldos special ale

Just tried Lagunitas Waldos Special Ale (4/20 release) tonight and absolutely fell in love with the dank piney flavor. Anyone else tried this and does anyone have ideas for a clone recipe?

    Sorachi Ace Wheat Beer

It actually comes out with a very complex flavor that most people have a hard time placing (all have liked it but most had to ask what was in it). I have always fermented this on the warmer side (low 70's) because I'm not a big fan of the clove flavors, so not sure how it would be with a cooler...

    Sorachi Ace Wheat Beer

I made the Bee Cave Brewery Hef recipe I found on this forum, but subbed Sorachi for all hop additions. Turned out terrific - this is now a must have summertime house brew.
