    Does the cider stay completely homogeneous? Or will alcohol separate resulting in stronger cider at the top of the carboy and weaker at the bottom.

    whoa love that pateurization thread. awesome. it's funny, I have to use a hygrometer constantly to make salt water (always shoot for 1.023 - 1.026). but that was a poor way. Once i got serious i invested in a refractometer. wonder if I could use for this application...
