    Adding Fruit to my beer

I've done an apricot hefeweizen with whole fruit (halved apricots) with no problems. After a week or so the fruit should sink and you will have a beer/fruit wine easy for racking. I'm thinking the puree should behave similarly and sink after fermentation dies down.

    11 gallons of coconut stout and 11 gallons of pilsner. 1,051.5 + 22 = 1,073.5

    keggling keezing and spunding

It sounds great in theory. Im looking into spunding also and trying to see what kind of stainless fermentor i need. The obvious issue here is a full 5 gallon keg is not gonna have any headpace and will blow krausen into your spunding valve. You could split it into 2 kegs. Maybe upsize your batch...

    Fixing the Anvil Fermentor Lid

Have you tried spunding with a presure relief valve? Would it hold say 10 psi?

Thank you Anvil for making me even lazier

What about getting that cold break out before you ferment? I use a plate chiller and getting down to 70° takes like 15-20 min tops.

    Anvil fermenter or conical fermenter

Im wondering if you need to modify it somehow to allow spunding. https://www.anvilbrewing.com/product-p/anv-fv-7.5gal.htm

Nevermind i found a source saying: Height - 24 1/2", Diameter - 12 1/4" Two would fit in my ferm chamber then i would have even more capacity and would need a bigger kettle [emoji28]

Broken Glass Carboy Horror Stories Compendium

I like the idea of 11 gallon batches as I get 2 kegs and also fill a few flip tops or my uKeg as "reserve beer" to fill the hump on the keezer with. I saw some hacks using the cheap boil kettles as fermentors but i like the idea of spunding and pressure transfers and also not having to theif to...

I see[emoji848]. Thanks for the info. It will be reconsidered for next years upgrades. Eventually i could go all stainless all around.. eventually. This year i already converted a mini fridge into a ferm chamber and picked up a keezer along with 5 more corneys and a nitro tank. I was using my...

Yeah the stitching gets weak and i dont take the haulers off when cleaning. I was lucky because my cut wasn't from glass slicing me open. It was more the weight of the intact bottom portion and all the beer hitting my foot. I mean I did see my bone for a minute but i wasn't gonna miss a day of...
