    Adding Fruit after Second Ferm

    That's generally how people add fruit to beer and cider but without the stabilisers. Are you planning on drinking it flat or force carbinating? I am lazy and like to add apple juice to a bottle of dry cider to add some sweetness and flavour.

    The link was helpful as although i have a few recipes i dont have many for dried berries. I wanted to add blackberries as well so i will wait a week until my fridge is free just to be sure. I am too awkward to follow recipes exactly i am afraid. Appreciate your help.

    Ok thanks that makes sense to me. I have a refractometer and a hydrometer. Should i cold soak the berries cold with a campden tablet? Last time i soaked the fresh berries for 3 days at 0c but i dont have th fridge space anymore. I will definitely keep better notes in future. Only seem to do it...

    I have double check my fittings again and now more confused than ever. The one i thought was blocked now seems to be ok but i have realised there is a lot more resistance using the plastic disconnects. How long is the line you use and what diameter? When i blow into the stainless fittings...

    Pressure fermented a rice lager at 18c using very little el dorado hops, Started at 18c then went up to 20c. A little fruit from the hops but very clean and crisp. Used crossmyloof helles 2 packs for a 26l 1037 wort. Finished at 1004.

    @DuncB Not sure what on earth i am doing wrong again but i cannot get the transfer going at all. The odd thing is wheni attatch the spunding valve as shown in the photo its does not seem to work. If i release all pressure in the bottle then top its up again with co2 from the top the spunding...

    I took out the thermostat for a closer look and its now obvious i need to join the black and brown wires together. I just took my broken fridge apart to check.

    Hope i have posted in the right place here. I have bypassed all my other fridges but i cant remember how i did it and am unable to find the video i used for instructions. Below is a photo. Am i right in thinking i need to join the 2 brown wires? Hope the photo is ok. Cheers

    I used crossmyloof hell lager yeast. 2 packs which took 2 days to do much even at 16c. Bumped up to 18c then 20c. Its 11 days old today. started at 1038 and is now down to aproximately 1005. Perhaps lower as i didn't degas the sample. Beer looks reasonable clear so crashing it for 3 days then...
