What's on tap for the Super Bowl?

Vienna/NB SMaSH and a Red Ale. I have a Stout for backup just in case. A growler of commercial Belgian Golden in the fridge too. Nothing else is carbed currently. My black IPA is pretty strong so I figured it wouldn't be a good idea to bring that one out or no-one will see the game. For...

    So who's brewing this weekend?

Shooting for 2 this weekend, we'll see if that happens though. Gotta get 'em ready for a comp in March. My house IPA (which needs to get added to the database) and the CitrAm in my dropdown are the plan. Just bought my first BB to try out this morning.

    Obnoxious Football Trash Talk Thread

Does anyone feel more inclined to watch the pro-bowl since it is between the end of playoffs and the superbowl? I'm still on the fence myself.

Do yourself a favor, get a refractormeter to replace your hydrometer

I can say that I have had a similar experience to AZ's. I'll take a sample, let it cool a little, take a reading and then set the refractometer down while doing other stuff. I'll come back later, usually when it's time to take another reading and the original reading has changed, I assume...

Walker got a few pictures, and Dal's neighbor that came over and snapped off 15 gallons brought a camera you read about in the TR.

    GRABASS (Raleigh) Willamette (Dang)it 1/22/11

Jesus we made a lot of beer. I tried to count. I think there were ~13-14 brewers. I don't know how many made 10 gallons, but we probably made at least 80 gallons today not including what Dal made last night. Thanks for hosting Dallas. A blast as always, regardless of the weather or Barc...

First AG batch firing up Sunday...

I agree very much with this post. Don't get caught up trying to "fix" things. First run, you're really just learning the system more than making beer, it's just a nice by-product. It might not be the greatest beer you'll ever make, but it's probably better than extract. Take notes (if you're...

    Yuengling Clone

If you go to the website it says that they use cluster and cascade in it. My version is in my dropdown FWIW. Still could use some tweaking, but it was pretty close the first time around.
