    Commercial Brewing Heat Sources

I do know of a commercial brewery with a 2bbl electric brewhouse. FWIW.

    Explain your hypothetical "pro" brewery...

I'd almost be afraid to buy anything smaller than a 15bbl brewhouse with 30bbl fermenters. The 10bbl brewery that I have brewed at is at capacity and everyone double brews, hence the 30bbl fermenters. You can always grab a 15 or 20bbl fermenter for one off or special brews. I've even been to...

Raleigh Area Group Grain Buy-Round 4

I've said it before, but a mill might be the greatest piece of brewing equipment I have ever purchased. FWIW.

Great western was the only company I saw that sold straight up C60. By the 50# sack.

10# is fine with me if we wanted to go 5-way.

I could get down for a 1/4 or less share of some 60.

    Hello from NC (originally WI)

Welcome to the board. There's a lot of knowledge here. I'm in Morrisville as well, although far from the actual town. Cheers!

For example. A sack of Marris Otter is around $72 retail, so you're saving around $30/bag. Domestic 2-row is aorund $50-52, so there you're saving around $20/bag.

    A Homebrewtalk Recipe Book—Any Interest?

I believe putting anything in print with regards to HBT would need Tx approval. You may wanna shott him a PM with a link to this thread with your idea and see what he says before you get too involved in the process. Just a thought.

I just went back and looked at the round 3 thread and because the order now comes from Hickory, instead of NY, the freight charge is $65 + 20% instead of $165. Reel, please confirm this is correct. Save a few more $ potentially.

...and to get the 2000# discounted price. (Well at least 37 total)

Raleigh Area Group Grain Buy-Round 4

I think the only person that could do that would be reelale since you have to have an account to buy from them, even if you aren't having it shipped. I doubt that he'd want to drive his truck to hickory and have them fire a pallet of grain on the back just to save you guys a few $$. But I could...

    Homebrew club problems

I'm affiliated with a number of clubs/(dis)organizations/brewing circles in this area. Granted, this a great area for homebrewers as there are a ton here. I get something different from each one of these groups. I can definitely say that each one has it's own personality and I know which ones...

I don't think you'd save any money if you had to pay for shipping to us and then shipping back to you. Especially for 55# sacks. Sorry.

First Home Brew Club meeting... How much to bring?

I usually bring a growler, 2 bombers, or 4 12ozers per style. We usually only open 3 12s but ti's always nice to have that spare if people want more or someone come in late or you can always take it home at the end.

What does the term SMaSH mean?

This just belongs here. One of my favorites.

    Brewer in NC

TRUB's next meeting is tomorrow at Fullsteam Brewery in Durham at 7:00 if you're interested in coming. I am affiliated with TRUB for full disclosure. I also hang out with those GRABASSers too. Welcome to the forum. The triangle is a great place to be a homebrewer.
