Are you sure? I don't see the resemblance. Hope to see you there Reel, but I understand if you can't make it. What about our Wilmington and SC folks on here? What say you?

What it sounds like is that they started selling to HB stores so it was kind of an agreement for them to stop selling directly to the customer so the HB stores get there cut/markup.

I'm sure that someone can hold your grain for you Frank. That goes for everyone else too. People are pretty good at helping others out if they aren't able to make it to pickup. I actually live over by Umstead so you may be able to come over after you're finished if I'm home. We'll work it out.

Unfortunately the tavern doesn't open until 12 on Saturday, but the bringing of homebrew for sharing was strongly encouraged!

So they've got a pretty busy brewing schedule next week. How do you all feel about a Saturday am pickup? Say 9:00. Please respond with whether or not you could show up between 9-10 next saturday. Thanks.

For you new guys, and you old guys that just don't pay attention and follow directions, this does NOT mean that pickup is next Wednesday!!! I will go to the brewery today and find out what day works for them and we will go from there. I have a meeting next Wednesday night and I am going to the...

    Beer Label for My Wedding

I like this idea. I'm doing 10 gal bottled for a friends wedding in Aug and I want to do some kind of label. What did you guys use for labels? I'm thinking about just getting some avery labels and going that route since I don't plan on taking the labels off again.

American Lager Pottsville Common (Yeungling Lager Attempt)

I liked #1 better. I took to a HB club meeting and people confirmed that it was definitely in the ball park for Yeungling so apparently I'm doing something right. I'm about due to do this one again soon. I am just over capacity now with primarys, secondarys and empty kegs to put them in. I...

    Enough with the Pale Ales!

Where are you shopping? There are plenty of places in Raleigh that sell more than just pale ales. Hell, even Food Lion has upped their game in the beer dept. If the grocery store isn't doing it for you go to the local Total Wine or one of the other specialty stores all over the place here...

Thinking of opening an online homebrew supply store, need help finding wholesalers

You may want to ask Ed at BMW. He started his setup without a store front. He may tell you to f off since GA isn't too far from FL, but it can't hurt to ask? He is a nice guy, but I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't want to help you. He's on the forum so you could PM him right from here.

American Lager Pottsville Common (Yeungling Lager Attempt)

Glad to see that this thread has had some activity here lately and people are still brewing and enjoying it. Please continue to post your results and changes. This recipe was really just a jumping off point meant to be tweaked and retooled along the way. Cheers!

Just cause you can't figure out how to brew my recipes to perfection does not mean that they are flawed. And it was a BM recipe anyway.

    Irish Red Steam Beer

I love the cali lager yeast. Especially in this kind of beer. I think it'll do fine. Boil as much as you can. It'll turn out great!
