The chocolate maple porter. Sat on trub for 21 days, bottled with 2.5 TBLSP of honey, bottle conditioned for 14 days, with 2 days in the fridge...amazing brew. Doing a big batch of this sometime soon. Sent from my SGH-T699 using Home Brew mobile app

American Pale Ale Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale

Did a 2.5 gallon batch on Sunday. I did a full volume mash, but the temp was way too high at 160-162 F. To make up for my low OG post-boil (1.043), I dissolved a pound of table sugar in bringing my OG up to 1.052 in the fermenter. Additionally, I had a half ounze of Hallertau in the fridge and...

    1 Gallon All-grain kits

Yeah, just convert down by a fifth. Your water ratios will remain the same and your boil off wont change. Use a 1.25 to 1 lb ratio on gour mash and youll be fine. Also I recommend BIAB for those small batches...too easy Sent from my SGH-T699 using Home Brew mobile app

    Green beer?

Interesting responses. Was just curious what people would come up with. I dont use personally, but I was thinking how to brew with it. Might be a mild surprise as far as aroma and flavors. Sent from my SGH-T699 using Home Brew mobile app

    Green beer?

Interesting...a green grist. Would the oil survive the boil? How about "dry hopping" a couple of buds? Sent from my SGH-T699 using Home Brew mobile app

    1-Gallon Brewers UNITE!

+1 Once you hand out a couple bottles, have a couple friends over and they try it, then sit down to enjoy...your last bottle. :( I just dropped $150 2x for buckets, 2x better bottles, an autosiphon, and grain for a 2.5 gallon Edworts Haus Ale . Dont get me wrong, I started on 1 gallons and...

    Filtering wort

Agreed, but the bigger your trub, the more volume you will lose. Probably not a big deal on 5 gal batches, but its huge on mini batches... Sent from my SGH-T699 using Home Brew mobile app

    Starter equipment

Does the immersion chiller save that much time from an ice bath? Took about 45 min to get 2.5 gal from boiling to pitch temp. How much more time saving is a chiller? My LHBS has a small coil for 45$. Sent from my SGH-T699 using Home Brew mobile app

    Broken Auto Siphon

Yeah, not very durable. Just as I was drying getting ready to bottle a choc. Porter, mine fell out of the damn washboard onto the floor and broke the bottom piece off the transfer tube. Had to manually siphon...thank God you can swish with Starsan. Sent from my SGH-T699 using Home Brew mobile app

Wife got me 1G Brooklyn Brew Shop kit

Apologize for not getting back to your question faster. I added a pic of what I made. As far as the question about honey for bottling, yes, my 1st experience with the 3 TBP of honey, I had gushers. It could have been imcomplete fermentation because the beer was really sweet, but since I have...

    Everything Brooklyn Brewshop

I dried out a grapefruit peel for the Grapefruit Honey Ale and at the same time, scraped and dried out the peels for 4 large oranges. Anyway, I threw those (all the orange peels) in at the end of the boil for a BBS Summer Wheat I did a week later. They boiled for 9 minutes. Anybody can tell me...
