    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

final look of the more advanced board (5 temp sensor sockets and 6 output sockets) https://raw.githubusercontent.com/terragady/CraftBeerPi/master/v4.1%20PCB_3D.png WARNING for those who bought smaller boards from me already, please make sure that you put flyback diode (1n4007) in right...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

well you can actually use one of the outputs to connect a buzzer without problem, but I am not sure if software will support buzzers, maybe, you have to ask Manuel :) About the alarms I am not sure, I was testing with PC, you would have to check it and maybe give your thought to the author so he...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

I do not think that there is need for a buzzer? It is already wireless device which you can control from you smartphone from living room and all notifications can be customized there. About the LEDs, this is also in the app plus you can connect 12V leds to the output together with the relay so I...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

I am slowly getting to finish more advanced version, 5 temp sensors, 6 outputs, I2C port. Comments and requests are welcome so I can improve it :)

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

Hi yes if you are still interested just write me an email or PM. I will solder one board for myself this week as well :)

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

sorry for late reply but I just came back from holidays, yes buck module is a step down voltage converter
  7. terragady

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

yes, thats from specification of ds20b18
  8. terragady

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

so you want 5 temp sensor and 6 outputs in total? I can check after my holiday if I can fit it somehow but indeed in this situation parasite mode for DS20B18 is desirable.

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

basically you can, it is parasite mode but it is not the best option though and I am not sure if it is supported by the CraftBeerPI (or maybe it will be supported if you guys need it probably). I do not think that anyone will need more than 4 sensors? And thats should be easily added to the PCB...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

The boards are here, 1st without module and 2nd with buck module. I am going for holidays for few days and after that I will test them :) I have few more if someone will be interested :) It is capable of having 2 temp sensors, and 4 outputs (for example 2 heater + 2 pumps or whatever). For...

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

i use BIAB, one pot so I use only one temp sensor plus heater and pump output. I tested it once and for the rest I am on ArdBir for now as I have built nice setup with it :)

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

This is my vision so far, I ordered parts already. This might be good for BIAB or 2 pot setup, there is place to add additional ports plus temp sensors if anyone will be intersted, plus the cost is much lower than upper board, there is also module for powering the Pi itself from 12V

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

actually nope, the new pi comes with 2.5A and needs more power, but I would agree that for this project 2A is way enough. The problem is if the board is really capable of delivering 3A. I ordered them already so I will check them

    CraftBeerPi - Raspberry Pi Software

hi people, can I use this buck http://www.ebay.com/itm/5-PCS-MP1584EN-DC-DC-BUCK-Adjustable-Step-Down-Module-Effect-Higher-Than-LM2596-/291522764278?hash=item43e01c5df6:g:0wAAAOSwT6pVhnzf to step down from 12v to 5v for raspberry pi? It is rated 3A max but i am not sure if its not getting super...

Open ArdBir - definitive BIAB/RIMS controller arduino based

there are SSRs for DC (12v ex.) as well. Here you have documentation how to connect it https://www.ghielectronics.com/downloads/man/20084141716341001RelayX1.pdf If you want to connect this relay you shoudl connect it directly to arduino pin as this board has already transistor there is nothing...

Open ArdBir - definitive BIAB/RIMS controller arduino based

yes you need resistors but this should be already covered on the board. Relay for arduino? You mean this board with relay with 3 inputs? People has problems with those. You need something like this only http://g01.a.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1vpUnIFXXXXbwXFXXq6xXFXXXa.jpg Probably you have one with your...

Open ArdBir - definitive BIAB/RIMS controller arduino based

Hi, I did only change pinout for buzzer from 8 to 10 if you are looking at original DanielXian ardbir settings, just change the number there :) should look like this: https://github.com/terragady/ArdBir/blob/master/PCB%20terragady.h although I was playing a bit with the code but this was as I...

No i do not have them yet printed as I was only testing craftbeerpi not using it for brewing so there was no rush. Raspberry is flashed with Kodi for TV now :) If you have international transfers for free then this way is preferable, if not maybe paypal works for you?

Open ArdBir - definitive BIAB/RIMS controller arduino based

yes I know your pain, I did the same after ordered everything for ArdBir, CraftBeerPi showed up :) but still I do not need WiFi or anything else and ArdBir is fine. Effect of both is same. There is also dutch software for ardbir which implements ESP module to have wifi capable controller, it is...
