Wife made me a carboy cover

You'd best keep adding numbers to those years. This rounds going to the 'nucks. As soon as we can get rid of our over-priced goalie... Somewhat probe to acute aspiration.

    Ideas for fall beers?

I was going to brew KingBrianI's Common Room ESB. Sounds like it will fit a fall in the PNW (my hood) perfectly.

    What's your favorite Micro brewery.

Big fan of Boundary Bay (whenever I can get some up north).

best brewery you have never heard of

Driftwood brewing, Victoria, BC, Canada. The Driftwood ale is a heavenly hoppy pale, the bitter is excellent and the belgians that the make are great. If you see it, buy it.

    Hardware rant!

I just put mine together, and very much remember that frustration. Don't worry, you just need to go back and keep looking, it took me a couple of trips. I ended up piecing everything together without staff help - they had no idea what I was doing, and I had no intention to use the parts for...

Best approach to cut slots in manifold

Thanks guys! It seems to have worked out fine. Don't worry, it's dry fit, I know the slots go on the bottom. ;)

Best approach to cut slots in manifold

I do have an angle grinder, and a cutting wheel. I was a little concerned that I would make the slots too big. I guess that wasn't a problem with yours?

Best approach to cut slots in manifold

I’ve dry fitted my copper picnic cooler manifold, and I am now faced with the task of making lots and lots of slots. I’ve given the hacksaw a go, but man that is a PITA. I have lots of power tools available to me, including a reciprocating saw, a jig saw and a table saw, but no...

    Victoria BC Hombrew group

You too hoppin. Just to update our viewers at home, we had a great trip to Moon Under Water, a new brewpub in the Victoria area that focuses on session beers. We met one of the owners, Ron Bradley, who took us for a little tour of the brewery. He even showed us the "nano" rig (a three tier...

    Victoria BC Hombrew group

Ok, Hoser and Hoppin, It looks like it is just the three of us on the island. I havent been able to find any homebrew clubs over here (other than CAMRA, and I dont know if that is really their focus). I’m not sure if there is a club or group over here. We may have to form our own...

    Victoria BC Hombrew group

Funny you should ask, I noticed that it was up for sale recently (for a fairly small sum). I assume they were not doign well financially, or the margins were very thin or something like that. Beer wise they are OK, though I think they have a lot of competition from groups like Phillips and...

Cool, well that's one! There must be more a community over here somewhere!?

    Victoria BC Hombrew group

Are there any other folks from Victoria who are interested in meeting regularly? I know Vancouver has a group, but I havent seen one on the Island. I think it might help foster the development of the homebrew community here.

    Got wood...now with pictures!

I want to build a similiar brewery, and will be very interested to hear how this turns out. Since you are just over the water from me I may need to get some advice on suppliers etc. :mug: I will be following this thread with great interest...:ban:

    Thanks guys.

    Hey all

First time poster here (n00b). Looks like a great site and I am looking at getting into all grain (why not go whole hog). I already have obtained 3 sanke kegs to get to work on, so converting them into the proper equipment should keep me busy for a while. It's good to be a part of the group and...
