Cool thanks. Good tips Im mostly just trying to decide now if I should own a siphon or trust that this fermenter will keep the sludge out of my bottling bucket.

I received a siphonless fermenter with the kit I bought and I was wondering if they work well? Is there anything I need to know or watch out for, or do I just set my bottling bucket under it, flip the knob and let it drain out? Thanks.

So he probably kept his hops in there while boiling? Maybe longer then if they were just tossed in?

I bought a whole setup from a guy on CL and these came with it. Its a 7x5" cotton bag. Is it for hops or can i seep grains in it? Can I use these in place of muslin bags? Thanks.
