    How much is too much?

I bottled up my Imperial Stout yesterday, started a new batch of Vanilla Porter on Saturday and have an Amber Ale kit on the counter. I'm thinking about doing the Amber Ale kit today. How many batches do you have at any given time?

    Imperial Stout - First Batch

I took a reading this afternoon and it's still at 1.031. It's been there for a while and there is no activity even though I pitched more yeast two days ago. However the off taste is gone now.

    advice on kits?

I'm new at this but I started with an "Ultimate Brewing Kit" from Things Beer. It came with everything I needed except a heat exchanger, which was really easy and cheap to make.

    Imperial Stout - First Batch

Yeast - Safeale US-05 I pitched one pack dry the first time and stored it in the basement at around 62deg F. Geyser

Twelve hours ago I put a batch of Vanilla Porter in a five gallon better bottle. This morning when I went to check on it and it was bubbles galore, knocked my airlock right off too. I'm worried that all my yeast has foamed out of the bottle, if that's an issue or even possible? What should I do?

    Full boil question

I'm new at this but from what I've read on the recipes you boil a couple gallons and add three to your carboy. I like boiling all five at a time but....you could find your 5 gallon mark on your carboy and note it with say a sharpie? Not to hijack your thread but I've got five gallons of...
