    I assume mash temp needs to be at or above 165F range thus leading to more unfermentables .But if i have too many unfermentables there will be less or little alcohol leading to sweet low alcohol beer. I am guessing only solution will be to use low attenuation yeast in combo with intermediate...

    Well i f the beer i racked to secondary was still fementin (1/4 to finish),didnt i do it right according to your blog? It was AG , i mashed at about 153 F

    Today i moved batch of beer(14L) from primary to secondary(7 days in primary) at 1.020 Gravity. O.G. Of the beer was 1.064 and yeast was Youngs Ale yeast. Airlock show no activity( i know its not reliable method). Did i make a mistake,should it be left little bit more in primary?

    Thanx guys for info.Now i know how to calc. sparge water. But how to know how much beer you will end up with in the beginning . Lets say 40 punds of grain will result in how many gallons of beer . Is the general guideline that 1kg grain malt gives around 5 l of beer?
