    Another good use for Starsan

2 tablespoons per 5 gallons of water is the same thing as 1 ounce which is what it says to use on the bottle. I already started at that concentration. Maybe one would need to go even higher on the Rogue bottles. That is interesting how we can just completely change our posts after already...

    Another good use for Starsan

The star san worked great on my stone bottles but it doesn't seem to do anything to my Rogue or San Lucas bottles. I have had them in there about a month and can't really get anything off of them. Has anyone else had problems with these?

Never should have started this "hobby"

Hope everyone had a great 4th of July!! I managed to catch a rogue bottle rocket with my forearm and now have a wonderful battle scar from firework shrapnel. On a good note I did manage to try 2 different hefe's this weekend. I tried Pyramid and another beer that said it was Bavarian...

Never should have started this "hobby"

I will definately try the franziskaner thank you. Matt, yeah I have seen the pyramid at the store, will have to give it a try as well. Although ultimately I probably just need to take 3 or 4 weekends in a row and just brew my heart out. Need to keep stocking up my bottles.:)

Never should have started this "hobby"

Yeah my most favorite micro (Mac & Jacks African Amber) that I love only sells out of kegs so I rarely get it. It tastes similar to and I like Arrogant Bastard if you just cut the bitter hoppiness in half. But as you said "There just isn't any CHEAP good stuff" Levers101, DeathBrewer What...

Never should have started this "hobby"

you know I have never been a big fan of hefe's but I am sure that with the vast world of homebrew there has to be several that I would like. Besides, it seems as though almost any homebrew will taste better. How long does a hefe take?

Never should have started this "hobby"

Yeah, I think I need to brew a batch every other weekend. Seems like my first batch will last about 3 weekends. Fortunately I do have a batch in primary and another in secondary but I am realizing I will probably be out for about 2 weekends after 4th of July. I wish Mac & Jacks bottled their...

    Kits vs. recipe

1st two batches are recipes, 3rd is kit with extra ingredients. Still waiting to bottle last two. Recipes seem more fun.

    Seattle Beer

Not sure what all places serve it but if you haven't had it try Mac & Jacks African Amber. They are a small brewery in Redmond that does not bottle. My favorite brew by far. But, that could make it someone else's least favorite.

Never should have started this "hobby"

I am sure that I am not the first person to have said this but, I never should have started into this "hobby". After brewing and drinking most of my first batch almost all other beer tastes like piss!! Oops, can I say piss? And I never liked bud, coors, miller etc, they have always tasted like...

    Another good use for Starsan

Sweet find!!!!, I had given up on all of my bottles with print on them, I even asked two local home brew supply stores and they did not know this. Thank you, I just put a bunch of bottles in my starsan and can't wait to see the label melt away.
