The other trick, which I have used very successfully after reading about it on here, is the frozen two liter bottles of water that you add to a tote container filled with water. Place the fermenter in the tote with the water and forzen two liter bottle. Its how I kept my pumpkin ale temperature...
I made a chocolate mint stout with the fresh spearmint leaves in the boil. I also added a mint lifesaver, adapted the recipe from Radical Brewing.
Maybe try adding a lifesaver...
