    Randzor, yeah it's SanStar.... The head is gone now due to the airlock going nuts the past 12 hours... Pickle, it's around 64 degrees... It's in a closet in my man cave downstaira... I didn't expect it to be so vigorous this fast or at all Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    guestion on fermenting

    +1 like Brett said never judge your fermentation by the bubbles. I had my first brew all grain imperial IPA bubble for 4 weeks... Keep a eye on your gravity, once you take two readings a week apart and they stay the same your good to go (that is how I check my fermentation)

    First brew made on Sunday! Awesome hobby!

    After 3 weeks my first taste.... Smells like a Imperial IPA... No off flavors from the high fermentation temps.... Not as hoppy as we wanted.... But for our first brew it's a damn good drinkable beer!!!! I'm a fan!

    When to check OG?

    +1 After it's cooled down from the boil and it's ready to put in my fermenter. I take a small sample and that is my OG (before I pitch the yeast)
