    Infected or not?

Looks fine. Seems like normal yeast activity to me. Condensation from yeast creating heat perhaps. RDWHAHB.

    Ice Bucket Challenge Rant

The challenge as an activity could be considered "stupid", but I think most people do miss the point. The act of dumping cold water isn't difficult, and in the end, does nothing to help cure ALS... ...but it spread awareness and became a trend faster than ANYTHING I have ever seen. This...

Help me with my next brew

I vote for an Oktoberfest as well, it is definitely worlds apart from an IPA, it's currently seasonal, and it's damn tasty.

Most annoying response when you tell someone you're a homebrewer?

"But is it as good as like, bud light?"

    Unexpected guests in primary...

Beer tasted fine, kegged it anyways. Looked like beetles but hell if I know. I'll drink my other keg, this can be the "guest" keg!

    Unexpected guests in primary...

Not too sure how this happened. I think it was dark and I couldn't see. Or I was drunk and couldn't see.

    It's finally happened-- bottle bombs!

My condolences. I once had bottle bombs, but they were my last two ciders that finally overcarbed...we drank the other 98. Having a steady gravity for a week should be a big green light to bottle, I know not your problem. I've had a few. But. My mind says. Maybe the denser, still sugar...

    I'm Going 'BANANAS'!!

May not be what you intended, but hell...that's just fine.
  17. Schecter

    I'm Going 'BANANAS'!!

What type of beer did you brew? I'm assuming you went with a belgian type yeast? Were you able to lower the temp of your fermentor at all, or is it still in a high temperature environment? You could try and mellow it out in primary for 4 weeks and see if the yeast can clean it up a little, but...
