I've read that standard paper and a glue stick is the best way to go as they soak right off for recycling bottles. It's also cheaper. I would assume stickers would leave a lot of residue/paper behind. I've scrubbed more labels off bottles in the past few days than I want to ever again. I have...

Personally I like it with the drop shadow as it stands out a bit more. Either way, the text stands out. But, I know what you mean. I'm stuck on something similar myself for this blonde I plan on brewing for family/friends in a couple weeks. I'll probably just flip a coin.

Double click the text layer(s). A window should come up. Check off "Drop Shadow" and select the tab. A bunch of options should be there (distance/opacity/spread/etc.).
