    Too late for a gravity reading?

    hey guys, I brewed a one gallon batch last friday and I forgot to take a gravity sample / reading. Is it too late or should I just give it the 3 weeks I was planning on and make sure to get the next batch?

    I found this out too!!! Im in Antioch and the Costco near us has Stone by the pallets :ban:. Almost died, they have never carried it before, at least not the one by me.

    How did you get into home brewing?

    A buddy and I planned a trip to Oktoberfest during our deployment. When we made it back stateside we booked the airfare and were on our way. We back packed through Europe ending up in Germany and along the way tasted local beers and thinking about how cool it would be to start our own brewery...

    oh ive had my fair share of time spent at NTC. Couldnt stand going in August, 115 plus degrees is never fun. I too enjoyed the field a lot more than garrison. In fact i couldnt name a single person in my unit that wouldn't take the field over garrsion.

    I'm still getting used to Nor Cal and to me its freezing. Im used to 70 degrees year around. Ive never had to de-ice my car before. HA! Cant wait till it warms up a bit, I get tired of waiting for "frost delays" at the golf course

    Yea, theres not really a Knight of Battle, there is a King of Battle and that is Artillery, (well for the Army at least) Ive herd from a few Marines I know say that Infantry is King of Battle. Either way for me its Queen of Battle.

    If you decide to go that route, and can get your hands on it, try Rustoleum's Spray on liner, its a fraction of the cost and extremely tough. Plus I was able to cover a boat trailer with like two cans. Just my humble opinion.

    Carboy Question

    total NOOB so bare with me on this question but, can you use a plastic 5 gallon Carboy or should it be glass only? I know I have seen the 5 Gallon buckets being used but I haven't seen a plastic 5 gallon Carboy. Any reason for this?
