Benny, I have the same kit from Northern and you will need (from my experiance) a hydrometer, a 2-3 gallon pot, a blow off tube, a small funnel (just incase) and large bucket to sanitize everything in. It is a good kit, just needs a few small things. i only brew 1 gallon brews so i keep the pot...

So Im a One Gallon Brewer, and a complete NOOB. I went to my LHBS and grabbed a Hydrometer and tube and some other stuff needed. Looking at the size of the tube the hydrometer needed kind of worried me because I'm thinking Im only going to get about 10 bottles as is and the thief isnt small...

I think youre right! I blanked on the OG and was shooting in the dark for an ABV, not that it matters much, gonna drink the whole batch regardless. Thanks for the heads up.

well i took a gravity reading today and got a 1.010. If i checked the chart (that came with the hydrometer) correctly, that would give me a 1.3 ABV does that sound correct?
