    Yeast starter.

This is probably beating a dead horse.... but... would it be possible to make a bit bigger of a starter, let it sit, and get the new yeast out to freeze? Just a thought that may be easier than getting it out of the primary.

Making a starter -- size of vessel?

would using a 2 liter bottle from soda be ok to use for holding a starter? Seems much cheaper than 25$ for the conical flasks.

How long will harvested yeast keep?

I haven't been able to find glycerine before. K-Y really works for storing yeast?

    Bottles from a Redemption Center??

soak and scrub them and they will be fine. make sure they aren't any cracks in them as well. but the alternative of buying beer and using those bottles sounds good to!

    Better Bottle question

your going to need to get a couple airlocks and bungs. you should also get some hose to transfer between the two. Also, a racking cane and auto syphon make a world of difference.

    What a find!

I went to my local AJ's fine foods yesterda. Of course, I had to swing by their beer selection. I found they have Dogfish head 90 Min IPA's on sale for 1.99 each! I also found a bottle of Rochefort 10 for 3.00 ! I almost fell to the floor ! Looks like I will have a good brew day tomorrow

I will have to add BJ's Brewerey's Grand Cru to my list. This was tasting pretty good last night. I will be brewing this myself shortly!

    Trying a 90 min clone

when you transfer to the primary, pour the wort through a coarse strainer. This should do the trick.

    AHS Devil's Brew Belgian Ale

would .75 oz goldings .25 saaz at the beginning, .25 goldings and .5 saaz at 10 min left be a better route to go then?

    AHS Devil's Brew Belgian Ale

I was thinking of adding .5 oz of styrian and saaz at the beginning of the boil, then .5 oz styrian and saaz with 10 min to go... how does that sound?

    AHS Devil's Brew Belgian Ale

has anyone ever brewed this? I was looking to do it this weekend, but won't have time to order it from AHS. I want to go to my lhb and get the ingrediants. This Belgian ale is deceptively light in color, yet high in alcohol. It has a dry honey flavor and substantial hop flavor and aroma. It...
