    Mead bottling: 12 oz, 22 oz, other..?

    I always use wine bottles with mead and generally I use the 375 ml bottles for very sweet meads or meads with fruit. I use the 750 ml for regular, medium or dry meads. For me, once the bottle is opened It needs to be finished off! :drunk:

    raw honey vs. heated honey???

    I would say that if you want to play it absolutely safe then heat the mead. This will eradicate any chance of unwanted yeast and bacteria. If you are a bit more adventurous try it without heating. For a middle of the road solution you might try sanitizing your honey and water must mix...
