I'm planning on making a couple more batchs in the next few weeks. I haven't been able to find Phoenix hops anywhere, at my LHBS, or online. Last batch I substituted Columbus hops. What is everyone else doing? Have you guys been able to get Phoenix hops?

Cracked open a bottle of Bridgeport and poured a pint of this clone. Pretty damn close! I think another month of aging and it will be spot on.

Wow. So this little stick will bring your brew to a boil? I was planning on getting a propane burner and a keggle. Would one of these bring 15 gallons to a boil or would I need two? I didn't see anyone list a price. How much did you guys spend on this?

So I tried mine today, since I can now taste. Its dry as ****! A bit green so I need to let it age. But I'm excited. 8% Still don't know why mine finished at 1.001

I like dry cider much better than carbed cider. Thats why I slightly carbed mine. Its more of a British style cider, IMO

Bottled today at 1.001. Just had tonsils and some nose surgery so I can't taste or smell. My mom(Who knows English cider) liked it. But apparently its not ready yet. I bottled with 2.77 ounces of Extra light DME, for 1.6 volumes of carbonation.

Why not make a glass sitetube and put it inside of a copper tube with a chunk cut out so you can see the level? The copper would protect the glass from being broken.

If you know anyone that is into electronics and making their own circuits: Have 6 sensors. Basically floaters that when the beer reaches a certain level in the bottle, stops the fill of that line, and sends a signal to the circuitry. Once all sensors have been tripped(all bottles are full) the...

I want to do mine with very light carbonation, the way a dry cider is. What would be comparable to some different dry ciders? 1.0?

I got mine too! I made the mistake of taking one apart to see how it works, then had trouble getting the grommet lined up properly for a few minutes. They look nice. Force carbing my beer right now, so I can't try them out.

Here is mine finally! I just took my taps off to soak. When I get my new perlicks in I'll take another picture. Hopefully then it won't be the junk table as well. At least all my junk is beer related. :)
