Gave this recipe a try. Used grain bill from OP. Nose is awesome! Loaded with mosaic. Taste is a little on the sweet side and came out very dry despite mashing higher than I wanted @ 158. Used distilled water and added additions that someone recommended back on page 16.

Second batch finished. Went with Columbus, Citra, Mosaic and Amarillo. Used Imperial Citrus yeast. Mashed the first batch too low, ~150. Mashed this batch ~159, a little higher than I wanted but came out better than previous batch.

Appreciate it guys. First batch was straight up RO, so looking forward to seeing how this batch turns out. One other thing, I'm planning on buying a ph meter but for now I just grabbed some test strips from LHBS. If my mash ph is on the low side, should I add more CaCl to raise it up?

I did gently swirl it several times but it didn't seem to help any of the hops get through the krausen. Most just stayed right on top

Had an OG of 1.056, after 6 days it dropped to 1.01. Took a reading today (day 8) and still at 1.01. Krausen has dropped but there is still a little bit of activity in the airlock. Thanks guys, looks like I'll just skip cold crashing for now. I'm fairly new to home brewing and this will be my first time ever kegging. I'll have to look more into filling through the dip tube. Will that require any extra equipment?

So I have my batch fermenting right now, was planning on cold crashing before I keg. Fermenting in a big mouth bubbler with a rubber stop on top with my 3 piece airlock. My stopper fits pretty snug and works fine for fermenting but I can fairly easily push my stopper right though the top down...
