Banjo Burner heat shield build. (lots of pics)

I wonder what it takes, i used rustoleum on my current stand and that **** burnt off in no time. Also i cut the legs off some bayou burners and welded them to my stand, even the paint they use burns off after the first use.

    Mash Stirrer Build Video

I nixed my cooler tun for the same reason... At least make sure they are high temp resistant, if they are they will say. I know from cooking eggs with them back in the day! But from what i have read even things rated as 'safe' aren't totally benign, just 'approved' and when its my homebrew...

    Mash Stirrer Build Video

This is awesome! I can't wait to build something like this myself, I'm so tired of stirring that mash! I'd lose the cheap spatulas, though. I'm personally paranoid about imparting chemicals when you heat up plastic or other synthetic materials.

Banjo Burner heat shield build. (lots of pics)

Pretty sexy for low tech! I'm putting together a 25 gallon system right now and wondering if a shield this diameter would be sufficient for heating my pot with a 20" diameter. Anyone?

    Cutting Kegs

I use a piece of pvc, i ran a bolt through it with a couple of nuts to position the bolt length (diameter of cut) and the bolt screws where my handle goes. very simple.

What to do with 5gal & 7.75 gal Sanke Kegs

I use sankeys for fermenting and kegging. I obtained some silocone breatable bungs from the LHBS and they work great as an airlock. Take out the spear and take it with you to size the appropriate one. I clean them with pbw and check with a flashlight but generally they clean up well.
