Should I really have to preheat it 3 times? Each time I drained the water and reheated it. Granted heat does escape whenever I open the lid to check temp.

I am brand new to beersmith and almost just as new to AG Brewing. Anyone know how to set up the equipment profile to match my set up. On my first batch of AG I missed the mash temp so I guess I'm a little paranoid about getting the calculations right.
