    Watneys Red Barrel Tap

Can you blow through the single barb with the tap open? If so does it come out anywhere else? I say just hook it up and give it a try! All you'll loose is a little bit of hose and maybe a bit of beer. If you worried about the beer you could always fill a keg full of water or blc.

    Cold Crashing my first brew

And that is all the maters :mug: If it is too cloudy for your tastes you can also take a look at running the beer through a water filter (requires corney kegs though). https://morebeer.com/view_product/16769 But if you are happy I wouldn't bother

    The accidental double dry hop

RDWHAHB I'm sure both beers will be fine. Who knows, maybe you'll start double hopping all your IPAs in the future.

Brewery's to visit in the PNW

Big Al is only about 2 miles from my house! :ban: If you end up there be sure to ask if they have any local heroes on tap. About every other month they pick a local home brew recipe to add to the rotation.

Trying to understand cold crash & force carb

I agree with the beer only gets better for the patient. That being said nothing wrong with cold crash and force carb if you fridge is empty and you're thirsty. Just make sure you keep the fementor full so you can get a few more weeks on it next batch.

    Nectarines in beer?

Another option is to just use the zest. Here is a recipe I have on deck for my summer beer: http://www.homebrewjunkie.com/2010/05/summer-time-orange-beer.html Haven't ever tried it so I can't provide any feedback.

    What the hell happened?!?!

I'd say go for the couple beers test. If you can have a couple pints and not slur it was 1.054 if you slur you had a 1.092 Sounds like a simple idea.

Brewery's to visit in the PNW

If you do make it to Seattle check out Blackraven in Redmond. Probably the hottest new microbrewery in the US at the moment http://www.blackravenbrewing.com/ Washington Beer Blog has a map with all of the breweries in Washington State: http://www.washingtonbeerblog.com/breweries-and-brew-pubs/
