You can still use the sugar to naturally carbonate if you wish. I do this some times when The keezer is full!

    New to all grain BIAB.

Holy Crap you people either don't read or cant!(There is not right way, LOL) The guy said you NEED a finer crush, I stated that you don't! You cant do a fine crush with a screen or a manifold (stuck sparge) but you can get away with it for BIAB. Disadvantage to pulverizing your grain, A crap...

    BIAB Thin mash?

Since it's your first BIAB I strongly recomend knocking about a gallon of water out of that mash! This Way if your crush isn't so good you can still get a good S.G and if you don't boil off 2 gallon you will still have a good O.G. You can always add water after the boil to get your correct...

Cut back on Beer because the belly is too big?

Good luck! A pint of homebrew equals 250 calories, a 18o pound man would have to walk 5.25 miles at 3mph to burn 500 calories (2 pints), thats 2 hrs of walking! Enjoy the scenery!

Cut back on Beer because the belly is too big?

I quit 28 days ago and I've lost 28 pounds on a high protein diet! I will never do it again! Thats why my mission is to gain half of that back on Sunday watching a whole bunch of commercials and a football game! I will also crack open the kegs on the 15 gallons of brews I did on New Years...

    Need help with stainless soldering

Sounds like The solder isn't sticking to the pot either because your material is dirty, or too hot! Remember that the material on the pot is way thinner than the coupler and is very easy to overheat! Focus almost all of your heat on the coupler, if you get the pot too hot it wont take!

Whirfloc always scares the crap out of me...

What's the sense of using whirfloc if your going to add all the trub anyway? The beer will clear by itself without it!

How to secure raised BIAB bag?

Either put a bbq grate over the top of the kettle and sit the bag on that, or use a strainer basket on top of a pail.

    BIAB Brewing (with pics)

Just boil 5-5.5 gal in your 7.5 gal pot then cool take an O.G. reading (it should be higher) then top it up with sterile water! The best thing about leaving a gallon or so out of your boil is you can nail your recipes O.G. every time!

How to interpret Mash instructions from Brew Smith for BIAB recipe

First thing you do is close Beersmith and never open it again! It is a PITA for Biab. Water volumes are way wrong!
