    Got two today and all looks good; however, see the pic. The gaskets felt a bit too snug on the racking arm and sure enough one ripped. Annoyed. Anyone experienced this? I'm sure it is an easy resolution for the product going forward but I don't want to keep dealing with it...

    Could you elaborate about potential bugs in the chamber? I use a freezer and - while i certainly keep the thing clean - I have thought because the carboys are protected from air getting in, I need not be as paranoid?

    AJ, sorry to bug you on multiple threads, but would a 10 gal blonde ale also benefit from this simplistic approach of 1 tsp CaC12 and 1 tsp gypsum and acid malt around 1% (all distilled water)?
