    Bottles to avoid. Proffered bottles?

Bombers are 22oz bottles, and are nice because they mean less bottles to fill. They do take a bit longer to carbonate in my experience, and you are in for 22oz of beer when you crack one open... I've had good luck with corona bottles, actually. You just have to keep them dark so they don't get...

    Bottles to avoid. Proffered bottles?

I've had bad luck with New Belgium bottles - they'll hold up OK, but the necks sometimes break when I open them. Like they break off in a neat complete ring, cap still on. Only happens to 1 in 20, but still. What a waste! I keg now, so not such a problem anymore. I've eliminated the New Belgium...

    Kegging.....fittings.......different sizes.......ARGH!!

As a new kegger (one batch done) I can honestly say it is SO worth it.

    Apfelwine questions ?????

I know I'm posting in an "old thread" but it's one of the more frequently referenced ones (for good reason, I gather - that's why I'm here...). I'm going to start a batch of this (maybe two given a good price on apple juice) pretty soon here, but I had one question: For carbing (I'm kegging...

    No chill wort cooling...

I don't have a wort chiller, and have been successful with the cover and pitch in the morning approach. Be clean, sanitary, and quick, and pitch enough yeast - the no chill method works for me (been doing it for 10 years now)

    Force Carbon PLANT!

You might be able to rig one up using a modified paint can shaker!
