    MA "packy"s

Seconding the CBC recommendation. This place is incredible and the owners are great. Super helpful and not pretentious. Best selection i've ever seen

    The alchemist cannery (heady topper)

I didn't mean go bad. Just a shame to let it lose the freshness

    The alchemist cannery (heady topper)

Change of plans. Coming from Boston it is only an extra 40 minutes to do Alchemist first we we're doing that. I'd hate to miss out on the topper. Want a case but also don't want it to go bad... decisions

    The alchemist cannery (heady topper)

Yeah i've checked the site but they recently upgraded a few more barrels I think. We are aiming to be at Hill Farmstead at 12 for opening and heading straight to Alchemist. I'd do Alch first but it makes more sense to drive to HF and go East since we are staying in Burlington

    The alchemist cannery (heady topper)

I can try but they've commented on the FB page that they don't hold cases. Can't hurt to try I suppose

    The alchemist cannery (heady topper)

Has anyone been in the past few weeks? From what I understand they have doubled production. I'm going up in a few weeks and wanted to make sure they won't be sold out at the brewery on Friday. Just wanted to make sure if I stopped by Hill Farmstead first they'd still have a case waiting for...

    Next upgrade?

So it is more than just buying something eh? I'm one of the least handy people on the planet. What are some easy projects people will put together for temp control?
  11. GravyTrain77

    Next upgrade?

Ohhh that kind of temperature control. Thanks guys!

    Next upgrade?

Can someone post a link to a temp control device?

    Next upgrade?

I use a gas stove which does well. For monitoring I have a dial thermometer

    Next upgrade?

Brew in a bag? Still have lots to learn. Never heard of it. Turkey fryers/large pots usually need a separate beat source right? I have a gas stove but it doesn't have a tiny of space above. Also somewhat limited outside bit I can probably make do once all the damn snow melts.

    1st grain brew attempt

Thinking about changing to all grain soon. How many extracts did you do before making the switch?

    Next upgrade?

I'm going to be getting my fourth batch soon and i'm definitely still learning and expanding my homebrew world. I got one of the standard living social Midwest kits and have since picked up a 5 gal pot, wort chiller, brew spoon, filter, carboy, and standing bottle capper. What would you...

    Asheville NC

I'm going to be stopping by Asheville at the end of April and wanted to know what some of the must visit bars/breweries are. We will be in town for 2 nights.

    Sweetwater IPA extract clone?

Has anyone found a good extract clone for Sweetwater IPA? I had it last year and loved the beer. Unfortunately i'm in the north east and can't remember the flavors. Hoping to replicate it as closely as possible.
