I totally agree that for home brewers, what we brew is as good or better than most of what’s available commercially. That said, there are some really good commercial beers out there that I enjoy in between brews. Genesee cream ale and any Shiner product are my go to’s.

If your ever in Rochester you owe it to yourself to check out Nicks. It’s best if you’ve had a few, and is after 2am. There’s a unique ambiance.

That was a poor imitation of the famous garbage plate from Nick Tahoe’s in Rochester, NY. Nothing even comes close to the original.
