Just tried my first bottle of my first batch!

Pleasantly surprised. Looking forward to what it will taste like with a few more weeks in the bottle...if I can wait that long!

Just tried my first bottle of my first batch!

Cooper's India Pale Ale. Just bottled last week and could not wait to try. Beer was kinda had a funky bite to it when I tried some while bottling. Expected it to be flat and not perfect, but still made me wonder how well it would condition in the bottle. Just opened it, nice carb so far...

    Glueing labels with milk question

Concerning portrait. When I made the label, I did it down and dirty in MS Word. When I pulled up the avery label template, the cells were sideways compared to the label I made and couldn't cut and paste. Problem is, I can't rotate the graphic I made (tried everything), and can't make the...

    Glueing labels with milk question

My issue is I have inkjet printer. I printed my labels on regular stock and affixed with a glue stick. Looks pretty good, but won't last when wet. I will probably end up taking my logo to Kinko's and have them print them up on a laser printer. Downloaded GIMP and it seems like a cool...

    Glueing labels with milk question

The avery template is set up for portrait (normal page setup), and the avery labels are set up for landscape (sideways). Made an image in portrait, but can't flip it to fit in landscape. When you use the sticky back labels, did the ink run (assuming you are using an inkjet printer)?

    DFH ******* Brew

On a whim, went to my local brew store and got myself a bottle. Great dark head, nice aroma, thick and tasty. Enjoyed it, but for some reason was expecting a bit more from it. Maybe watching how it was made gave me greater expectations. Still a pretty good brew.

    First Batch questions

Thanks guys. One of the most important things I think I may have learned is to wait. I am so anxious to bottle it and try it, but have realized to really enjoy a good homebrew is to wait a bit and really enjoy it.

    First Batch questions

Hello, new to the forum and home brewing. So, I've trolled a lot and think I have the answers from the forums. Just wanted to clarify. Used the LHBS kit and am brewing Coopers India Pale Ale as my first batch. Actually, did a Mr. Beer kit probably 15 years ago and don’t really remember...
