    Unboxing the Nano from CO Brewing

    I still just use a hop sock... Cloth bag on a pvc pipe hanger. can reuse them several times, cheap and easy to use. I used to use one of those stainless mesh hop filters over the pickup tube.... It would completely clog with minimal hop additions making recirculating and chilling / whirlpooling...

    so... i dont need to do double duty as a rims or anything... My lhbs shop had just that half of a rims setup available. Is there any benefit to one shorter length between ports? I was thinking about shortening up the nipple going to the sprayer nozzle to just above the side inlet, maximizing the...

    What I did for beer today

    Kegged 10g of Undead Guy, cleaned the conical. Installed a CO2 bulkhead in the keezer to allow my 20#er to sit outside. Made an ingredients shopping list for a Black IPA ive been wanting to try. Only have one empty space of 8 available in the keezer... got 10 gals of a stout to keg next weekend...

    What I did for beer today

    you can make everything from breads, dog treats to granola bars with the spent grains from your brew day.... my dawgs love the treats. If lazy, its a good fertilizer or at least additive to the gardens.

    Pumpkin Ale.

    perfect! Thanks. Was wondering about a mesh bag, as i use a hop spyder with great results. Didnt want to depend solely on spices or extracts, cheers and thanks.

    Pumpkin Ale.

    Tried brewing a pumpkin ale, previously did a porter, neither really lended a pumpkin flair... The last batch (the ale) I used 2 large cans of pumpkin puree baked in the oven in the mash (10 G batch). WORST brewday EVER! Used 3/4 # of rice hulls up, still couldn't keep the recirculating going...

    Took delivery of the specialty grains, hopps, yeast for the next couple batches. Getting some more choc. stout in the pipeline!

    What I did for beer today

    Measured and crushed the grains for 10G batch of undead guy. Grain bill is in the MT, waiting patiently. System all connected and ready to rock. Hopefully Ill get a fairly early morning start. Just heat my strike water and go.

    Kegged 10 gallons of Hopwork Orange, cleaned out the 14g conical, cleaned some kegs and had a beer.

    Engineering the fittings needed and placement for a sampling port after my chugger pump to get easier samples at various times... First runnings, end of sparge, pre boil, post boil etc... Its gotta look pretty and be super easy.

    I believe roughly 10 cu ft. Outside measures about 44 x 28 x 32 inches. Holds 8 cornys, a 10# CO2 tank, plus a box of hops etc. Pretty happy with it except for lifting kegs in and out lol.

    Finished (mostly) plumbing the garage Keezer. 3 ports for force carbing, 3 for serving. Got the rig all setup for a brewday early tomorrow. Pumpkin Ale. Late, but will be appreciated in Dec.
