I think you might be right about the Chinook instead of the Columbus for bittering.....so I'd agree with Chinook, Centennial, Citra, Amarillo and the nz variety....but I've used the Victory from there and get a distinct nutty taste to my beer.

I don't taste the nutty taste of the Victory. I think it's a wheat grain....in a small amt.

I'm at 1.032 after 3 weeks in the primary....is that low enough to bottle? Not bubbling anymore....I think I'll check again in a couple days....definitely get a estery taste.....like banana and clove right from the primary...Might rack to the carboy for a week to clear up the haze a bit before...

Did you find the can yet? I would buy one and trade you for a pound of Amarillo.

Did you force carb it or let it carb up in the bottle....I wonder if carbing in the bottle would change the taste.

The White Rajah is filtered....does the Prime have that distinct aftertaste that Rajah does? It's the thing that makes it my favorite beer and I can pick it out of 100 beers. What changes to the recipe would you change to make it closer?

I brewed it.....in the ballpark....I carbed it in the bottle.....you get a slightly different taste....noticed a stronger centennial taste in the beer....followed the recipe to a tee.

I'd like to add a bit of orange and lemon zest....how much would I add in a 5 gal batch? Or should I use lemon and orange peel?

Next year I will have Chinook, Zeus, Centennial, Columbus and hopefully Cascade if they bear more in second year.

What type of honey works best with this beer? Clover?

What are the weights of the hop additions?

The Zeus will be on the way in the morning. Lots of lupilin in these puppies....yellow dust on everything. I brewed a 4c's plus Galaxy with it and it turned out awesome.

I have some fresh Zeus drying as we speak for trade for Cascades.....msg me on here for details.

They are good....smell them....if you pick them and they fall apart, they are too old....the ones in the pic look useable.
