I want some opinion on my brown ale recipe

4-8 oz of 120 will add some color and depth to it and you could leave the 60 in too.

I want some opinion on my brown ale recipe

IT looks good . The black Patent is the only thing I may leave out . It will be brown enough without it and it may add a hint of bitter to the beer . The crystal could be bumped up to Crystal 120 instead of 60.

Irish Stout - Added Hops Too Soon!

It should be fine . The hops are now all bittering hops but in a stout you should be fine. What hops and amounts did you add?

Which Bulk Grains to have on hand?

The only time I get a stuck mash is if I have the pump valve open too far.(flow too fast) But with direct fire if it is too "slow" the temp will overshoot the target temp after the burner kickes off.

Which Bulk Grains to have on hand?

Does anyone buy the $60+ Briess 2-row instead of the $35 Rahr As far as a mill I usethe Monster Mill 2 and it works great. It is kept in the garage so I like that it is Stainless. It's also adjustable at both ends.

is aromatic malt very sweet? or have i made a mistake somewhere else?

Give it some more time. I recently brewed an amber that started out malty but after 2-4 more weeks it's on the hopy side.

    What's wrong with Rahr?

It was a LHBS and $45 was before tax.

    What's wrong with Rahr?

I bought a bag of Rahr today and I hope it's as good as the Briess I am used to. It was only $45 instead of the $66 for Briess. Just remember= Good brewing can't make up for bad malt!

Coconut Brown Ale - help me design it

From what I have gathered, if you want to dry hop it in the secondary you want unsweetened or it will ferment. If you put it in the primary it shouldn't mater. I am now toasting the meat from 3 coconuts and I'd say it's 2-3 pounds.
