    Ya I plugged it into beer smith but I was told once that beersmith isn't all that accurate so I'm following it up on here.

    4 lbs 12 oz pale malt 2 row us 13.6oz pale malt 6 row us 14.4oz Crystal malt 20L .69oz cascade 60 min boil White labs #wlp080 1 lb of local honey in primary 2 1/2 vanilla beans in secondary Not sure about Temps for my mash though I'm guessing 152F and 165F

    I've got a vow renewal coming up and was thinking a light beer that any one will enjoy so I figured a vanilla honey cream ale. This is what I've put together. I haven't made my own batch yet so this is my initial.

    I just kegged it today. But I usely drink a cup of it not carb and it taste fine but this batch doesn't for some reason. Would that be the problem that it's not carbed?

    I filter my tap water but I think that would be the problem cause I made a chocolate milk stout that turned out just fine and my og was 10 points shy should of been a 49

    I used the northern brewer bavarian-hefeweizen kit. But I have a 10 gallon mash tun and a 8 gallon kettle. I used rice hulls this time while mashing so I would get a stuck spare again like last time. But I used a half a pound witch after researching is to much lol. But I mashed at 154 F 3...

    I am just to inexperienced for them my last one was ok but this one is even worse. It has the hefe taste but a pretty bad after taste of like Tylenol or something I just kegged so I'll give it a week but I think I'm done with them for now.

    So boiling longer to achieve my correct volume won't hurt any thing like give off flavors or anything?

    Dang ok well ya I ended up with 6 gallons at the end of my 60 min boil and I only used 5 gallons of it since that's all I could fit in to leave a desent head space. Well all in all is my beer going to be ruined?

    Ok so ya the Temps were off by 3 degrees hi for mash in and my mash out was 10 degrees low and it was a 5 gallon bavarian-hefeweizen all grain sorry for the lack of info
