    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

sb68 I picked about 1500 lbs of apples last year and split with a buddy, and if i remember correctly with his badass homemade grinder and press we averaged about 1 gal of cider or juice for each 20 or so lbs of apples we used

    Newbie!!

If a juicer is what you've got right now, then it will work but I've heard they are slow, messy and inefficient . They also filter out a lot of good nutrients and flavor components along with the skin and other junk. Its funny you ask because i was just looking into making my own apple grinder...

    grape concentrate in pyment??

Wow, i just realized I'm an idiot. I did all that reading and searching on the forum cause i didn't see a pyment made with a grape juice concentrate, but i just realized that Joe's Quick Grape Mead in the recipe forum is pretty much just that except he uses regular welches bottled grape juice...

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

Thanks Brewerbear, that's exactly what i was leaning towards. I was just unsure having never made this before, that and being that i love hops and the crystal has the lowest AA out of those i was having a hard time deciding. I do think the flavor profile of the crystal would make it the best...

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

So I just got my starter going so i can get my first graff going tomorrow. Its gonna be pretty much the same as original recipe but using store bought juice(so I'm using the crystal 120L as per Brandons recommendation) and I've got a quart of 100% cherry juice that needs to get used so ill add...

    grape concentrate in pyment??

Yeah the only pyment recipes i came across used grapes or some of that wine grape concentrate like your merlot... did yours turn out like a mead with grape/wine notes or more of a wine with honey/mead notes? This all crossed my mind when i noticed the 3 cans of welch's concentrate in my freezer...

    grape concentrate in pyment??

After searching through the recipes and loads of the mead forum and not finding the answer to my query, i just figured i'd ask and see if anyone has any experience with this who could chime in. I was wanting to start a new mead, and as the honey i have is pretty lite and mellow, figured a...

    Graff (Malty, slightly hopped cider)

I really cannot wait to start a batch of this. I have been so obsessed with cider lately, and all variations thereof. I may even let starting a batch of this distract me from bottling a couple batches tomorrow...

    100% Brett C Mead

Thanks for the feedback y'all, i really appreciate it. I can't wait to finally try out some sour batches, and i will definitely post back when i do a sour mead, maybe a sour cherry melomel or something...I've already got an apple cyser brochet in secondary so that's the other reason this recipe...

    100% Brett C Mead

I absolutely LOVE mead and have been getting more and more interested in sours/lambics, so this recipe has really piqued my interest. I definitely want to try it after i get a couple of my current batches bottled up. Just wondering have you ever tried a cider made with brett? Cause i was...

    Unicorn Blood

Thanks , i also skipped the additional acid blend which i usually add to my ez cider as well since i figured i didn't need that in this one either. It smells great so far, if only i had a time machine for skipping ahead to when batches were done...

Thanks Cyclman, so judging by your handle, do you ride too? If so what kind of cycle? i just feel like my new brewing interests have me totally submersed. The last beer i even made was in February, a russian imperial stout similar to Old Rasputin, but not a "clone". I brewed with a buddy using...
