    New house, outdoor brew area/bar

Been working slowly at the house on weekends and after work, here is the state of the kitchen. Took all the lath off as well to access wiring and plumbing but didn’t get a picture.

Bad or good idea to make a 'collar' for a fermentation chamber?

You could also do a second set of hinges to open either just the freezer lid or the collar and freezer lid. I thought about this on my first keezer but went with the whole collar opening which worked out well as a ferm chamber later.

Bad or good idea to make a 'collar' for a fermentation chamber?

I repurposed my first keezer as a fermentation chamber. It has a collar, and I can fit a carboy on the floor and on the hump. Works well with the stc 1000 to kick on the freezer or a ferm wrap to keep temps.

    Who's smoking meat this weekend?

I wanted to try not wrapping during cooking but afterwards while resting. The two main reasons I let it rest in the cooler after hitting temp. Our guests weren’t coming over for a couple hours. Amazingribs website said to rest in a faux cambro before slicing and serving. My non expert thoughts...

    Battery Powered Lawn Equipment

I hear ya. The last area I lived it was a ways to get and I don’t go through it very fast. But it was worth peace of mind to get a couple gallons and not have to worry about carb issues. Anyways enough derailing the battery thread with gas... my coworker has all makita 36v tools and loves them.

    Using a tap for .....water?

That’s funny, I don’t know what else to call it as that’s what I’ve always heard. Maybe carbonated water with flavor syrup? Anyways I carb and dispense at 30psi with no problems, it does dispense fast but that’s fine by me.

    Choosing name for my son

That was my grandpa’s name on my dads side. My cousin named his son Ralph after him a couple years ago.

    Choosing name for my son

That is kind of funny to think about. We shorten a lot of names. We know we like the full name, but know we will also inevitably shorten them at times. Rylan could be Rye, Dakota:Kody or koda, Orion: Ryan, Rio. That doesn’t mean we like Rye more than Rylan, or one is a first and second choice...

    Choosing name for my son

During basketball my older brother used to be “Miller Time” and then I was “Miller Lite” So that would work well. I’m not so much interested in creative spelling, moreso just names I don’t hear too often. Living in a rural area is nice because there aren’t too many people to begin with, so less...

    Choosing name for my son

I like it too, we enjoy hunting as a family and Orion would fit that well. Also my wife likes the name Rio so it could be Ryan or Rio for short.

    Choosing name for my son

I understand explaining a name, both my wife and I have names that we don’t hear too often. I enjoy having a name that isn’t too common, but I now usually start my introduction with my name and then the spelling of my name. I like the idea of a name that isn’t too common, but also not totally...
