The hops really took off this last week. This is maybe 1/25th of how many cones are on the plant. Hopefully I am going to dry and freeze until I get time to brew someday. No clue on variety, Would a whirlpool or dry hop addition be best to see how they are? They are starting to smell good.

Finally got a chance to do a quick test run on the new stihl equipment. Pros -lightweight -no startup, just squeeze trigger and go -the backpack takes all the weight off the tool so it is even lighter in hand -can just leave the pack on and swap tools very fast. -very quiet, biggest plus I see...

We just got some new stihl battery equipment at work today, haven’t gotten to try them out yet, but interested in how they do compared to the gas equipment. I think they will definitely have their place in the lineup though.

The pear tree also went crazy, need to trim it off the fence and parking area but going to wait until after we pick them. Might have to try making perry with the extras.

We are about to have our second boy. I’d love to have an empty space right about now! After dried you could put a cribbage board there and have a dedicated showdown spot.

Also the hops went went crazy and are doing well for no water and 100 degree plus days this last week. Hopefully by next year I’ll have more time to spend on the outside of the house.

Thanks for the response. Regarding the panel, we decided to have it totally swapped out. Seems to make sense while we are doing the kitchen/rest of the house. Plus I was looking at breakers and they are $40+ vs $4 for a new panel. It’ll be a while still but I think that will be the plan to go...

Much needed beer after a hot day at work on my Friday. Topcutter Ipa by Bale Breaker brewery, my go to beer at the local store with fairly limited selection. Better than driving 45 minutes to the next store though.

I ordered a couple six packs on 6/14, should be here next week. Look forward to giving them a taste.
