    Craigslist find brag

I mean there are drawbacks too. No mail or package delivery, a little over an hour one way to get any groceries, unmaintained road. But the positives definitely outweigh the negatives, I’d never be able to live in a city. Also not many jobs once you start to get really rural too, so I guess I’m...

    Craigslist find brag

It’s pretty nice, fell into a great deal to rent and couldn’t say no. 5 miles of gravel to the nearest house, and plenty of room to roam. Plus river access... not to add insult to injury.

    Craigslist find brag

Finally got one of those great Craigslist finds I hear about. Hopefully it was a good deal anyways.... picked up 8 ball lock kegs and a 20# co2 tank for $150. The kegs all need a thorough going through and looks like some need new O-Rings but otherwise pretty solid. I told my wife “I can’t...

Gardening: My Tomatoe and Pepper Progress

Just found this thread, our garden is doing great this year so far. It’s the first year we’ve had the space and gumption to get a bigger garden in.

A little more tonight. If the dishwasher looks funny that’s because the countertops are 42” instead of the normal 36”. The next kitchen i think I’d put the drawer underneath the dishwasher for ease of loading and unloading. l

    Recipe Suggestions

Thanks for the quick input, I was really just spitballing for the first recipe. I’ll go get my brew notebook and look through some old recipes to get the numbers dialed in.

    Recipe Suggestions

I don't normally ask for advice on recipes as I usually research a while and or use a standby. However I haven't brewed in about a year and my wife bought me some ingredients for my birthday. Here is what she randomly got me, -40lb Viking pale 2row -2lb Munich -3lb carapils -1lb 50l crystal...

How many people lost their keezer to covid?

Luckily we live far enough out that we are normally stocked up to last for a long time anyways. We haven’t had to buy any staples since before all of this has started going crazy, but haven’t had a hard time getting any produce or milk. We still try and limit going to town once every 2 weeks. As...

    New house, outdoor brew area/bar

Quick update on the kitchen. Coming along slowly still. Having fun still though. Maybe can get some good progress done with my wife off work for at least the next couple weeks.

    Basement build

you can use shark bite fittings to add onto your current pex setup. Depending on how many fittings you need or are going to use it may be more economical to buy a crimper tool and crimp rings, relatively inexpensive and amazingly easy to use. Shark bites can be $5-$15 a fitting depending on what...

    Homemade Bread Thread

Two loaves yesterday. The one in back I mixed in carolina reaper powder that my coworker gave me. The habanero cheese loaf wasn’t hot enough for him last time, hopefully this one pulls through.

Afternoon cup of coffee at work. The weather is not very pleasant for being outside today.

    New house, outdoor brew area/bar

Almost time to start putting a kitchen together. We’ve had the appliances sitting in the other room since July, so it’ll be nice to get them moved over and get the cabinets up.
