Quite a few homebrewers prob mash inside using the stove for hot water and boil outside via propane. A batch sparge will get you out and on the kettle quicker where as a long fly sparge will allow your wort to cool somewhat and take even longer to bring to a boil once it makes it to the kettle

Is there a formula to determine abv with just f/g? brix and hydro reading? I believe there is just want to make sure. ?

I batch sparge and 10 gal takes the same amoust of time. why? I use 2 "cooler"mash tuns and drain into one kettle. :)

I use a corny and connect the gas to the beer out which makes the co2 bubble up through the keg. I do this slowly until 30, 35psi and let stand for 24hr.

How much gelatin was in the packet? I use about 1tbs for 5 gal in seconday when crashed @33F

Do you stir when pouring in the infusion sparge water, and then let rest? If so I would think the temp change would be almost instant and not detrimental.
