Just tried another brew. First day almost all the flavor was gone, but as time went on the flavor came back. I would guess a combination of oxidation and yeast is the culprit.

Looking over your thread it appears yeast nutrient may still be needed, though I might be able to supplement that by boiling baking yeast for a low cost alternative. In any case I very much prefer the link and advice. :mug:

Just a quick update since it will be a while before I can try new batches: adding something to mask the flavor works but only if a lot is added. I added some lemon juice but I still get the flavor as an aftertaste. I'll experiment with other juices and extracts over time and see if it helps more.

I've got quite a bit to chew on here and try. I'll come back to the thread once I've had a chance to try a few batches with results. I didn't even realize this was a common ingredient in turbos (my turbo doesn't include an ingredients list). Definitely something to get out of my brewing process.
