Probe is near the bottom so it clears the bottom of the grain basket , this works very well with the recirculation ensuring fairly even temps . Hope this helps

I have a Colorado Brew systems 15 gallon single vessel system that has a basket . I use the basket for both massing and boiling with no issues , it makes clean up way easy as all the hops will be contained in the basket at the end of the boil .

If the recipe specifies a seven day dry hop period then all the hops would be added at the same time for a period of seven days , not one after another . hope this helps
