    Magic Chef Keezer Problem

I may not be much help, but where is your probe for your White-Rogers controller? I assume the White-Rogers controller is similar to a Ranco or Johnson controller? If the compressor seems to be running, I'd start troubleshooting the controller. EDIT: Welcome to the forum from a fellow...

First Brew Tomorrow.. help me out!

You need an airlock, but you can get by without one if you just set the lid on without tightening it too much. I've had beers in the past that showed no airlock activity, but only because my lid wasn't on very tight. With the CO2 production of fermentation you will get a layer of CO2 that will...

    Greetings from Midlothian, VA

Welcome from just down the road in Chester. I'm also a member of the JRHB, but I don't make it to too many meetings.

    Military Brewers

Today we remember Tsgt Phillip Myers, USAF EOD, KIA April 4, 2009 while disarming an IED. Phil left behind his wife of 9 years and two young children. It's not just those that give their life in service that lose everything...

    Total Wine is Awesome!

The only issue I've had with the make-your-own six pack is that some of those beers are on the shelf a long time. Also, any beers bottled in clear glass tend to be skunked. But, I have found some great beers at Total Wine.

Sounds like something an ex would say...

This thread popped up as a related thread to one I was reading. I know its old, but its interesting to read it now considering what's going on with her.

    The God#%!$ Cops Thread

Another Michigander? ;) I grew up in Ingham County (Mason). +1 to not understanding how anyone can have respect for a crooked cop... I also don't see the point in driving after drinking, even one, but that also doesn't mean someone is automatically breaking the law.

What do you think of this for a kettle hop filter?

I'm not much of a DIY'er, but even if the screen does the trick, it seems like a small surface area. In other words it will filter, but only until the face becomes covered with sediment. For keeping Hops (leaf or pellet) out of my spigot I put the hop additions into grain bags that I've cut...

    BeerMachine + AllGrain

I've never heard of a beer machine, but if you have too much headspace I can't see you having much luck carbonating your beer. I'll have to google this contraption to get a better idea of what it is you're using, but if CO2 cartridges are an option, then that may be your best bet. EDIT: It...

Can any Richmond VA area brewers help a guy out?

They are on vacation until the 28th I believe. I have about 30 lbs of Maris Otter, does that help? EDIT: MO is a two-row variety, so probably no. Sorry.

    Hello from dirty jerz!

I didn't know you were an East Coaster too, David. Welcome Jen, the wife (SWMBO) is from Wayne and we head up every few months to visit with her dad. There are quite a few brewers in Jersey, and lots of experience depending on where you hail from. Cheers. :mug:

    5 liter pony keg?

You can use them and can also buy them unused. But, they are steel with a plastic lining that will eventually wear through. Once the lining no longer protects the beer from contacting the steel you will get off-flavors. So, in short you can use them--for a while.

the_Wife wants me to buy a bike (advice)

I got my first street bike while in the Air Force as well, but they didn't provide the course at my base--it was still a requirement though.;) Bird, I'm 6' 2" and my first bike was a Yamaha Seca II. It was a bit small, but my friends RF9 fit me well--it was just a monster and not something I...
