    how much priming for six gallons?

    I wasn't paying attention when I made my EdWort's Apfelwein and made approximately 21 quarts of of Apfelwein rather than 20 (5 gallons). So will I be able to prime with the normal five gallon amount of priming solution or how much should I add to get it properly carbonated?

    Cidery taste

    I also brewed two or three Mr. Beer brews before moving to larger batches of extract brews. If you are getting a cidery taste it is due to the cane/table sugar. Corn sugar (dextrose) does not contribute this cidery taste, in my experience. I would suggest ALWAYS substituting dme or corn...
