    Cold conditioning makes a difference

    i find any addition i make to my 'brewery' always makes better beer.....in my eyes anyways, thats why im always getting new toys:mug: but yes, i find 2 weeks cold conditioning makes the beer 'better'. but im no expert and ive never done any big beers.

    recipe was BierMuncher Blue Balls. except i couldnt get bitter orange, so i zested 4 oranges and proceeded. og was a little low (first ag) 1.036 right now 4th day in 2nd 1.012 the taste......can only be described as weiner water!!! yup, boil 4, 5 hotdogs....cool, thats what i have...

    went to lhbs, did not have the correct yeast. they gave me lalvin ec-1118. should i use it or try to locate the right yeast elsewhere?? thanks

    yes 5g batch....no chiller. thankfully there are some mean snow banks here right now. i know, not ideal...but just seemed like a good idea at the time. i will have that chiller ready for the next brew day tho.:D
