    Force carbonating with CO2

    Yes it certainly can.

    What's in your fermenter(s)?

5 gal of German hefe in one primary. 5 gal of hoppy porter in another primary. 5 gal of bohemian pils in a secondary. I think I need to brew again tomorrow or Friday to keep the pipeline full.

    Force carbonating with CO2

And you have to leave the gas supply on to maintain that magic 30psi for the 36 hours.

If you could only drink one beer for the rest of your life, what would it be?

If I had to choose, this would be my vote also.

How is this American Pale Ale looking?

I agree with the above statement, ditch the 45 and 30 min additions and throw them in late.

    Modular Homes

FWIW, mobiles and modulars are apples and oranges. Once a modular is on a foundation, it is listed the same as any home, at least in NC. ALso, once it's on foundation and finished, it cannot be moved like a mobile. Not gonna happen. The house I put up the pic of is a lot sturdier than 90% of the...

    Thinking about kegging.

Kegging is easy. I've never had a bad experience with it. All you need to start off with is a keg, co2 bottle, regulator with gauges, gas line with proper connectors for the keg you choose, and a picnic tap. That will get you into kegging. As for the process, rack your beer from the bucket or...

My first infection, 5 months in the making.

GOOD GOD! That looks naasty. I'd still drink it though.:D

    Going from keg to bottle

I do exactly this but also burp a bit more beer/foam in the bottle after pulling the wand out and cap on the foam. This is explained in full detail in the "I don't need no stinking beer gun" thread. Head space perfection is really a non issue in a keg carbonated beer unless it's just for...

What beer kicked your a$$ lately?

The last one that had me just about "fall down" drunk was a 4 pack of Sierra Nevada Hoptimum. It doesn't have the ABV anywhere on the packaging. Found out the next day it's 10%. After 4 on an empty stomach, on a hot summer day, I was stumbling and I couldn't figure out why.:cross:

    Sterling 514 -- Stuck Fermentation

So you're thinking it's done fermenting after only 3 days? It's not. Put the lid back on it, go out of town and check it when you come back. What is it that makes you think it's done already?

    Modular Homes

I lived in one modular. The ex-wife still lives there. We looked at many companies and the differences in quality was obvious. You basically want to go with whoever uses the beefiest building materials to get a more solid home. Then look at quality of insulation, windows and doors. The rest is...

What's your favorite online store for beer kits?

Alternative Beverage is my LHBS, so I don't order anything online, ever. Their main wharehouse is only 20 min away. Awesome place to kill a little time. They brew at the store every weekend and anyone is welcome to hang out. They also have a lakeside park where they have festivals a few times a...

    StarSan and beer lines

I leave starsan in the kegs and lines until the next batch goes in and I've noticed no issues.

How many gallons of Homebrew in 2012?

    + 5 English Pale Ale =27490

    First Keg Question

Yes, purge the keg, lower to serving psi and drink. It's just that simple. BierMuncher is just about spot on with what I do (I did follow his posts when I started kegging). 30PSI for about 36 hours on a ferm temp keg just going into the fridge. Drop the pressure, purge and drink. :mug:

    Kitty named citra

And mine has a kitten named Barley. I'm not sure if it was a brewing reference at the time, but after I brought it to his attention, he said the next pet would be named hops.

    Messing with SWMBO

This is one of my favorites. She notices right away. She used to rag me about this. Now she just switches it the way she wants without a word. However, she likes the paper coming off the top of the roll. We not have 2 kittens that like to unroll the entire roll onto the floor. I just informed...
