    Co2 Tank Exchange

Not sure about Tampa. In my experience the cheapest places have been Airgas and paintball shops. Done a couple at homebrew shops and liquor marts too.

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

Did you guys see they're launching a 7gal version? https://www.ssbrewtech.com/collections/home-unitanks/products/7-gal-unitank If I ever get a second I'll maybe consider one of those (or the spike). I do a mix of 5 and 10gal batches. Ive got a fiver(well, 6) going in my unitank right now. With...

Tiny Brew House. Ultimate BIAB 110v System Build

I'm saying if you want to keep it 120v just run one of the heaters on a separate circuit. I did that on a previous brewrig and it worked well. In any kitchen you're pretty much guaranteed to have two circuits. Otherwise you can run a 20ft extension cord to another room. Too late for that already...

Tiny Brew House. Ultimate BIAB 110v System Build

Sexy kettle, man! Dont think I saw you mention it, but how come you didnt go with 2x 120v circuits? Could just run an extension cord for a 1500w element to heat strike and come to a boil. Shorten your brew day by an hour or more and be able to do larger boils.

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

Thanks, ordered. Hoping I dont run into clogging issues, but for $10 worth grabbing one just incase it's needed. Nice find.

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

Heh, I made a mess dumpin trub last night at just a couple PSI. Until I get it tall enough to throw a bucket under Im going to just use some hose on the dump valve. Ive heard of people having issues with dry-hopping carbonated beer before, never really have had that happen in my kegs. We'll...

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

Nice, I might have to grab one of those if I wind up clogging this batch. I figured after dry-hopping I'll just purge a few times while feeding some CO2 in from the carbstone.

First pour of the day has off flavor

Flow control faucets and not having 10ft of line is always good, too. Pounding or dumping half an inch versus half a pint is a big difference.

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

Just took a hydro sample and then dropped a few dryhops in. Any of you planning on using a basket or anything? I used to do bags in my old conicals but they'd sometimes block the racking valve. I'd tie it with some floss and run it up the lid, reach in and grab that out if it happened. Dont...

Help me decide between Spike CF10 and SSBrewtech Unitank

You could certainly do it no chill if you wanted. Transfer, seal it up and let it cool passively over a full day or two. But yeah, make sure to feed some CO2.

Looking to buy first Grain Mill

Cant imagine you'd have any issues with setscrews running out as long as you got it decently aligned.

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

Heh if anything I wonder if Im foolish and should have just gone with fermenting in kegs for a tenth of the price. Worrying about clogged diptubes and **** though? Fugg that. Plus where da bling?

Looking to buy first Grain Mill

Yeah Ive heard the same. Done maybe 600lbs or so through it so far, never gets too hot or smells burny though so whatever.

Help me decide between Spike CF10 and SSBrewtech Unitank

Im not sure there's anyone with one of each. I dont think you can go wrong with either. I recently got the SS unitank. Main reason it won out is because I wanted something now, and Spike's jacket and other accessories were months out. I also liked the no-lid design on SS's... I can understand...

Cereal Killer and a cheap harbor freight drill as well. No complaints, would not spend more on one at this point. And Im a sucker for overspending on bling.

Doubling Down: SS Brewtech Conical + FTSS + Glycol Power Pack

One nice thing about these being pressure rated. I cleaned and sanitized a couple days before and then sealed it up. Brewday didnt have to worry about that. Just popped it open and went on with the bidness.
